Alcohol 120% is a popular program that allows you to copy an exact image of a CD/DVD disk to your computer’s hard drive, and then insert the image into a virtual drive. The program belongs to the class of emulators and works with many image formats taken from CD/DVD from other applications.
In particular, CloneCD, CloneDVD and Nero Burning ROM image files are supported. A large number of settings allows you to mount an image of even protected disks. Among the emulator settings, the following options can be distinguished: skipping read errors, improved scanning of sectors, reading sub-channel data from the current disk, measuring data positioning with a given accuracy, emulating bad data who, emulation of RMPS (physical signature of the disc being recorded). In the emulator settings, it is also possible to set the regional code of the virtual drive.
