Enhanced detection of input handles to reduce false hits, upgraded keyword detection logic to prevent false hits caused by filenames containing pdftk keywords like even, odd, and end. Implemented the option to prompt the user for output when bursting a PDF and reviewed filename prompting code. Modified the PDF parser to accept name tokens longer than 127 characters and fixed an issue with form choice fields in certain PDFs where the old value was persisting. Adjusted pdftk behavior with subset fonts to prevent altering font name tags, which was causing printing issues with Acrobat 3.01 on Windows. Resolved a stream parsing bug that caused page content to disappear after merging PDFs created by Microsoft Reporting Services PDF Rendering Extension 10.0.0.0. Introduced multistamp and multibackground features from a Debian patch, cleared signal mask as a workaround for environments that disable signals before calling pdftk to prevent hanging in Python web setups and PHP. Set locale to C as a workaround for a rare exception, improved reporting of output errors via Debian patch. Added support for UTF-8 data and filenames through Debian patches, updated build procedure for compatibility with newer GCC versions, and included license information for third-party libraries used by pdftk in the source tree.
